Cable Tie Label – 3D-Printable Zip Tie Tags | Shapiful

The mess I needed to fix

My workshop looked organized—until I traced a fault and realized half the cables weren’t labeled. I don’t use CAD and didn’t have time to model tiny tags from scratch. I needed clear, durable-feeling identifiers that could ride on zip ties without slipping or blocking connectors.

How a labeled cable tie solved it

I opened Shapiful and picked the cable-tie label template. I typed short names for each line, then added a small QR code that points to my wiring diagram. Without touching any modeling tools, I:

  • Adjusted hole spacing so the tie seats snugly.
  • Switched the text style to embossed for fast reading at a glance.
  • Previewed everything in the live 3D STL viewer.
  • Used coordinate inputs to fine-tune alignment and scale.

When the preview looked right, I exported STL/3MF and printed a small batch. The tags clipped on neatly and didn’t interfere with mounts or panels.

The result I was hoping for

Troubleshooting is now faster because each bundle is clearly identified. The QR codes save me from hunting through folders, and the raised text stays legible under dust and low light. I even made a few versions for hoses and the toolbox so everything reads the same way.

Why I keep using Shapiful

It lets me create practical, ready-to-print labels—no CAD required. The flexible text options, QR support, and parametric sizing make it easy to adapt the same design for racks, desks, or outdoor runs. For organized wiring and other small, printable identifiers, Shapiful is where I find dependable, customizable solutions.
