Why I Needed a Screw-Mounted Plaque
I kept mixing up rooms and storage bins at work. I don’t use CAD and didn’t have hours to learn a modeling tool, but I still needed a clean, durable door plaque with precise holes for screws.
What I Tried Before
Paper labels fell off and looked messy. Generic signs didn’t fit the exact hole spacing on our wall mounts, and I couldn’t add QR codes to link to inventory docs.
How This Design Helped
With Shapiful, I typed the text I wanted, chose embossed lettering, and previewed everything in the live 3D STL viewer. I set the hole diameter and spacing to match our anchors, added a small QR code, and tweaked the rounded corners. No modeling software—just simple parameters.
Details That Mattered
- Adjustable hole size, spacing, and countersink style
- Embossed, debossed, or engraved text with font and line spacing
- Optional frame thickness, chamfer, and fillet for a professional look
- Exports in STL or 3MF, ready for slicing and multicolor workflows
- Coordinates for exact alignment with other office signage
The Outcome
The plaque printed perfectly and mounted flush on the first try. The raised text is easy to read, the QR links to our room guide, and the consistent sizing makes our hallway look organized.
Where I’ll Go Next
Whenever I need another nameplate or room sign with screw holes, I know I can spin it up in minutes on Shapiful’s site, alongside other label and signage templates.
